Led the development of strategic plan for health system

Turned around/insourced several low performing IT departments that ultimately delivered high quality solutions, continuously met high demand for services, and provided the agility to meet changing business demands

Successfully upgraded Electronic Medical Record system (Meditech Expanse) with a downtime that was completed in record time per the vendor and with minimal organizational disruption (per leadership)

Successfully attested to all stages of HITECH (Meaningful Use) securing multiple millions in funding

Attained Stage 6 of HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (will achieve Stage 7 in 2021) allowing our organization to move closer to achieving a near paperless environment and harnesses technology to support optimized patient care

Established Chief Information Security Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer positions in multiple organizations which significantly improved both the company's security position and physician engagement and adoption of technology respectively

Established service management best practices (ITIL) and attained Help Desk Institute's Certified Support Center that increased Physician satisfaction from bottom quartile to top quartile

Responsible for two categories that assisted organization with attaining Malcolm Baldrige national quality award

Built a fully redundant, lights out data center that delivered 99.995% uptime

Developed comprehensive security strategy and provided a hardened environment to meet HIPAA and audit requirements

Established and led IT governance model including an executive steering committee and various operation committees that improved engagement in, understanding of, and prioritization of technology initiatives

Built and led leadership development programs

Overhauled the infrastructure of several organizations to dramatically improve system performance and reliability

Key partner in the development and launch of a regional Health Information Exchange (HIE), successfully obtaining state grant and collaborating with other health systems to plan governance processes and technology architecture

Successfully sunset several legacy systems (mainframe, mid range, and micro system) resulting in multi million dollar savings on maintenance fees
